Requisition Number | FAC00545 |
General Description | The Behavioral Health/Human Services program seeks a dedicated practitioner who is interested in training the next generation of the human services workforce in Philadelphia. The program prepares students for their chosen career path, whether it be going directly into the workforce or transferring to a four-year institution. Faculty members are invited to teach across the curriculum as well as in specialty areas to include Addiction Recovery, Aging, Disabilities, Social Determinants of Behavioral Health, and Trauma. Most courses involve a practice component where students are introduced to hands-on experience that prepares them to work with clients in diverse human service settings and engage in practicum experiences. This role requires a deep commitment to supporting a whole person/student model of development, recognizing the diverse needs of our student body. The ideal faculty candidate is an educator-practitioner who sees teaching as an extension of service, understands the unique challenges and strengths of community college students, and embodies a whole person model philosophy of student development. They are flexible, innovative, collaborative, and passionate about preparing the next generation of human service professionals. |
