As we continue to grow rapidly across Canada, we are looking for a passionate and strategic Director of Human Resources to help lead the next chapter of our story. Based in Atlantic Canada, this position will play a key role as part of the management team and will provide strategic guidance to all levels of the organization in establishing a leader-to-leader culture.
What You’ll Do
Lead and shape all HR functions across Canada—including union relations, recruitment, compliance, leadership development, and engagement.
Serve as a key advisor to the executive team and operational leaders, helping scale people practices in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
Champion a positive and unified workplace culture through proactive coaching, development programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
Oversee labour relations, including union negotiations, grievances, and policy compliance.
Develop HR strategies and infrastructure that empower leaders and support our continued growth.
Assist with the promotion of the companies’ well-defined values and ensure all new hires and current employees understand and perform their duties while adhering to them.
Help develop and establish a consistent performance management framework to be used throughout the organization and assist managers in delivering the program
Provide tools and guidance to management team members to assist with conflict management and resolution.
Requirements
What You Bring
8–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in unionized and operational settings.
Strong knowledge of employment laws in Canada.
Proven success leading HR in a multi-site, multi-jurisdictional environment.
Passion for employee engagement, manager development, and strategic growth.
Excellent communication, discretion, and problem-solving abilities.
CHRP/CHRL designation or Master’s degree (asset).
Ability to travel regionally as needed.
