Location: Monroeville, Pennsylvania
Status: Full-time Professional
Annual Salary Range: $66,800 - $111,320
*Salary commensurate with education and experience.
Job Summary
As a Human Resource Business Partner at BPMI, you will serve as a strategic advisor on employee relations, fostering a positive and productive work environment while aligning people strategies with organizational goals. You will lead efforts to address complex employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, investigations, and policy interpretation, ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational standards. Acting as a trusted partner to leadership, you will develop and implement proactive strategies that promote employee engagement, mitigate risk, and drive workplace excellence. In this role, you will also support workforce planning, oversee compliance with Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity programs, and guide leaders in navigating organizational change. This position offers the opportunity to shape and influence key employee relations strategies, driving initiatives that support a high-performing, inclusive, and adaptive workforce.
Essential Duties:
- Consult with legal counsel regarding complex employee relations issues and EEOC charges.
- Develop or modify HR policies, processes and practices to meet the needs of the organization. Drive the uniform and equitable application of HR policies.
- Investigate complex employee relations concerns by utilizing a deep understanding of laws, regulations, company policy, and collective bargaining agreement.
- Lead, build, and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships with all levels of company management to develop business solutions, while providing counsel and expert knowledge.
- Make recommendations to leadership regarding disciplinary action related to substantiated claims.
- Provide coaching and training for managers on leadership skills.
- Research and analyze new employment-related laws and regulations, leading HR practices, and recommend policy changes to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Serve as project lead in the preparation of statistical studies, surveys, and reports as needed.
- Develop, prepare and issue employee communications.
- Monitor the effectiveness of Human Resource programs. Provide input to changes to existing programs to better serve employee needs and organization objectives.
- Prepare statistical studies and reports as required by legislation or organization needs. Analyze moderately complex data.

Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management/Administration or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university.
- A minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Twelve (12) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements.
- Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- HR Certification (e.g., HRCI, SHRM-CP, SHRP-SCP, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and role specific applications.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
- Committed to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
