Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator
Description
Job Overview
The HR Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department and provides administrative and operational support to the Corporate HR Team and the SVP of HR. This role supports key HR functions including policies and procedures, recruiting, onboarding, maintaining employee records, employment verifications, employee relations, engagement initiatives, communications, compliance, and reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the utmost confidentiality regarding employee records and all sensitive information in which this position comes into contact.
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including interview scheduling and initial screening of candidates.
- Coordinate and process pre-employment screenings, new hire paperwork, and assist with onboarding.
- Input employee changes into the HRIS and verify changes made by other HR team members.
- Ensure all required regulatory workplace posters and employment law notices are current and properly displayed at the worksite.
- Generate basic HR and compliance reports as requested.
- Assist with compliance reporting and regulatory requirements.
- Support and participate in special projects and culture initiatives.
- Respond to employment verification requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required. Additional training or business vocational training is a plus
- Strong knowledge and skills in all MS Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Previous recruiting experience a plus
- Experience with Paylocity, Jobvite Applicant Tracking System and/or other HR systems is preferred
- Exceptional multi-tasking and organizational skills with attention to detail and emphasis on quality, time management and follow-through with tight deadlines
- Display superior written and oral communication skills and employ effective listening skills
- Display tactful, mature and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Applies experience and knowledge to solve problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications and costs
