What You’ll Do
As our HR Generalist, you’ll be the first point of contact for all HR-related matters, ensuring a positive and professional experience for our team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Employee Relations & Investigations: Serve as an internal consultant and mediator, handle employee relations matters, manage disciplinary actions, and conduct workplace investigations.
- Recruitment & Hiring: Support end-to-end hiring including job postings, interview coordination, pre/post-hire tasks, and applicant tracking.
- Onboarding & Benefits: Facilitate new employee orientation and guide staff through benefits options, including health, welfare, and retirement plans.
- HR Operations: Maintain personnel records, support payroll and timekeeping accuracy, and ensure compliance with HR policies and labor regulations.
- Training & Development: Administer and support company training programs.
- Reporting & HR Systems: Manage headcount tracking, HRIS data entry, and provide regular reporting and analysis.
- Exit Process: Manage offboarding, including exit interviews and final documentation.

Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 2–3 years of generalist HR experience (construction or union experience a plus)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business preferred
- Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Solid understanding of HR practices, laws, and compliance
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
- Bonus: Familiarity with HRIS platforms and time/attendance systems
