Senior Human Resources Generalist/Business Partner Ideal Candidate Profile
QTS is currently seeking an energetic, responsive, and well-organized full-time Sr. Human Resources Generalist/Business Partner. This position will be responsible for aligning our HR strategies with business objectives, fostering a high-performing culture, and supporting our workforce.
Senior Human Resources Generalist/Business Partner Job Summary
- Build strong and trusting relationships with business leaders and human resources.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on HR-related matters with supervisors and managers to proactively define workforce needs and key roles, implement tactical and strategic plans to meet business goals.
- Lead HR projects and initiatives from the business and from the corporate office.
- Mentor and provide support to HR team members at the company’s facility or any of the operating companies.
- Coach and advise leads, supervisors, and managers.
- Lead and administer policies and procedures that support the company's philosophy, culture, and strategic goals.
- Identify and lead more complex process improvement initiatives.
- Resolve employee relations issues that require more experience and knowledge.
- Lead the recruiting efforts by creating recruiting campaigns, maintaining the ATS, participating in job fairs, conducting interviews, and engaging with applicants through the onboarding process.
- Manage staffing vendors and contracts.
- Provide talent management metrics to business leaders.
- Conduct onboarding and offboarding sessions.
- Facilitate the 30-60-90-day check-ins with employees.
- Support and/or lead the workplace committee teams to include wellness and people, and culture.
- Respond to unemployment claims and attend appeal hearings.
- Ensure the HRIS system, employee files, and I-9 documents are accurate and maintained.
- Provide support for injury management and employee leaves.
- Provide support for the annual enrollment process for benefits and assist employees with benefit questions.
- Provide support to the annual performance management process to include goal setting, mid-year check-ins, annual appraisals, and compensation planning.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and communicate changes to employees.
Requirements
Senior Human Resources Generalist/Business Partner Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or an active HR certification through SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP).
- 7 years of HR experience in HR.
- Experience recruiting entry-level to management-level positions in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of state, local, and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience consulting on a wide variety of employee relations situations
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
- Focused problem-solving skills, analytical and systems thinking ability; demonstrated through previous experience.
- Strong initiative and results orientation.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
Desirable Criteria and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources.
- Medical device experience.
- Experience with Lean Tools.
- Continuing Education, including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations.
