We’re looking for a visionary and hands-on Senior Executive, Human Resources to lead our people strategy and help shape the future of our organization.
Position Summary
The Senior Executive, Human Resources is a key member of Little League’s senior leadership team, responsible for leading and advancing all aspects of the organization’s HR strategy and operations.
This individual will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team, driving initiatives that strengthen our culture, enhance workforce engagement, and align talent strategy with our mission and organizational goals.
The Senior Executive, HR will oversee core areas including:
Organizational development and design Change management Talent acquisition and workforce planning Learning and development Total rewards and recognition Employee relations and engagement Legal and regulatory compliance (multi-state) HR systems, analytics, and process optimization The position also plays a critical leadership role in planning and staffing our annual Little League World Series, which includes the coordination of approximately 400 seasonal employees supporting the event.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership, ensuring HR practices align with Little League’s mission, vision, and values. Lead organizational design and workforce planning to support growth and operational goals. Develop and implement inclusive strategies that foster an equitable, respectful, and high-performing workplace. Oversee recruitment and onboarding for full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff, ensuring a positive candidate experience and cultural fit. Design and administer total rewards, compensation, and benefits programs that are equitable and competitive. Lead learning, leadership development, and performance management initiatives. Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations across multiple states. Oversee employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution in alignment with organizational policies and values. Leverage HR data, metrics, and analytics to drive decision-making and demonstrate program impact. Serve as a visible culture ambassador, fostering engagement, recognition, and alignment with Little League’s mission. Play a key leadership role in the planning and execution of the annual Little League World Series workforce strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role. Demonstrated success leading HR strategy, talent management, and organizational development. Deep knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, particularly in Pennsylvania and multi-state operations. Experience overseeing total rewards programs and performance management systems. Proven ability to use HR analytics and metrics to inform leadership decisions. Strong interpersonal communication, and coaching skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Experience leading HR in a nonprofit, mission-driven, or sports organization strongly preferred. Experience managing seasonal or large event-based workforces a plus. Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
