Your new role Joining Hays, means you'll be part of a forward-thinking business that's going places. Our global network and ways of working mean you'll be part of something bigger, whilst taking pride in the work you do within a collaborative team. As the Human Resources Business Partner, we will empower you to think beyond, redefine standards and evolve the status quo. This is a full-time, 12-month parental leave cover role commencing in mid-March 2026. You'll be based in one of our Hays offices across New South Wales, Victoria or Queensland, giving you the flexibility to work from the location that best suits you. Key Responsibilities include:
Partner strategically with senior leaders to deliver the People & Culture strategy across APAC.
Lead initiatives across strategic HR, talent management, and career development.
Manage reward & recognition programs and support consistent application across the APAC region.
Deliver training and development support, working closely with the L&D team.
Oversee organisational design, workforce planning and support business change initiatives.
Drive performance management processes, including coaching leaders and ensuring best-practice frameworks.
Provide guidance on employee relations matters and support resolution of complex issues.
Lead and contribute to HR projects aligned to global and APAC priorities.
Enhance colleague experience through engagement initiatives and survey action planning.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex people issues.
Experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders.
Proven project delivery skills - taking work from concept through to execution.
Confidence in presenting and providing clear, constructive feedback to leaders.
Solid HR generalist experience across performance, ER, OD and talent.
