Description

LSB is seeking a Human Resources Manager for our Cherokee, AL site location. This position will report to the Chief Human Resources Officer for LSB Industries, Inc. and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and driving human resource solutions. This role acts as a strategic partner to the Plant General Manager driving a culture of growth, performance, and positive employee relations.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Apply human resources management principles to successfully contribute to plant priorities.
  • Help drive safety results.
  • Lead and manage HR initiatives including those around policies, employee development, internship, and performance management.
  • Serve as consultant to all employee relations matters.
  • Develop and conduct training and development programs to enhance employee skills, performance, and work environment.
  • Implement talent management strategy. Manage recruitment and selection and ensure onboarding, training, and development are successfully executed.
  • Effectively communicate with all employees, supervisors, and managers.
  • Ensure efficient payroll and administration processes.
  • Provide support and resources to assist in achieving business objectives.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of plant HR experience
  • 5+ years of labor or employee relations background
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience leading change and plant turnaround
  • Background and familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (Paycom, ADP, SAP, PeopleSoft etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams and drive people development.
  • In-depth understanding of employment law (i.e., FLSA, FMLA, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, required.
  • PHR or SPHR Certification, preferred.
  • Experience as an HR leader in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, with focus on process and time management discipline.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines are required.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Excellent computer skills and attention to detail a must.
