Description
Tenure-track, nine-month faculty position. The teaching load is 12 credits per semester (24 credits/year) and will include upper-level courses in human anatomy and introductory biology, especially as they support degree requirements in nursing as well as the Clinical Laboratory Science major, Medical Laboratory Scientist program, and for pre-professional programs in health such as pre-medical, pre-physician assistant, and pre-pharmacy. Additional responsibilities include the development of a productive research program involving undergraduates, student advising, and department, school, college, and university-level service.
The Department of Biology is part of the School of Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry in the College of Letters and Sciences. The department includes 20 full-time faculty representing a wide range of subdisciplines. Their primary mission is teaching to, and performing research with, undergraduate students.
