We are recruiting for our client's new Human Resources Director in the convenient Innsbrook business complex.  The new Director will report to the General Counsel.  Primary responsibilities include:  planning and administering policies, practices and processes across all human resources activity; including recruitment and onboarding, benefits administration, employee and management training and development, employee relations, records management, compliance management, HRIS management, safety and workers compensation, and strategic projects for the association. As an effective business partner, you will work with approximately 100 employees and leaders to support all things HR! 

Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline; professional HR certification

Minimum Experience:  Eight years of related progressively successful HR professional experience preferably in a lead human resources role.  Finance or banking experience a plus.  Non-profit experience helpful.

Primary duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Plans, coordinates, and/or oversees all human resource functions including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee and management training and development, employee relations, records management, compliance management, HRIS management, safety, and all things HR
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements related to human resources. Files government required employment and benefit reports on an annual basis.  Distributes required employee notices as needed
  • Leads and assists management in an ongoing partnership with internal clients.  Proactively assesses areas such as employee morale, support, training, development, etc. and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Maintains and updates policies and practices for the organization. Proactively reviews policies, identifies gaps, and makes recommendations to SR leaders for improvement or updates.
  • Creates, implements and updates procedures in all human resource areas as needed. Establishes regular review of these processes and measures the results. Provides accurate and timely human resource reports needed to maintain process controls, ensure compliance and facilitate strategic plans related to HR projects.
  • Develops, coordinates, and/or conducts management training and ongoing coaching in topics such as: interview and selection, performance evaluations, employee development, discipline and terminations, EEO and diversity issues, safety, and unlawful harassment.
  • Coordinates with management in addressing employee relations issues. Conducts or coordinates employee grievance investigations; represents the organization at applicable hearings and investigations.
  • Oversees benefit broker relationship. Ensures effective communication of open enrollment activities and leads in negotiation of renewals.
  • Leads in identifying HR system needs and works with HR system providers and internal stakeholders for the rollout of new functions, maintenance of existing platforms including communication and training. Continuously pursues efficient and effective human resources processes and systems.
  • Oversees worker’s compensation administration. Proactively elevates emerging safety concerns.
  • Develops and manages the HR budget. Identifies opportunities to increase efficiencies and reduce cost without compromising effectiveness and quality.
  • Coordinates payroll changes and updates with the Finance department and CFO as necessary.
  • Works with hiring managers to attract, hire and retain talent for the association.  Focus on DEI initiatives and outreach.
