Surgical Directions is seeking a strategic Human Resources Manager to become a key member of our HR team. The ideal candidate is an accomplished and adept HR professional with a passion for fostering a positive and productive work culture. This role requires a blend of skills, including ethical leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal and communication skills. This role will also leverage crucial technical expertise in data analysis, talent management and compliance, and HRIS systems, to bridge employee needs with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all Human Resources records and information.
Partner with leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to recruitment, retention, and succession planning. Develop and execute plans to meet those business goals.
Manage the talent acquisition process and collaborate with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Manage full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, screening, interviews, offers).
Streamline and optimize the employee and management experience with HR operations by leveraging the functionality of ADP Workforce Now.
Oversee the administration and currency of Human Resource programs, including performance and employee engagement initiatives, compensation, benefits, training, and development. Identify approaches to evaluate the effectiveness of these programs and recommend improvements, as needed.
Support employee relations and act as primary HR advisor. Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Manage relationships with Human Resources/Payroll vendors and consultants to ensure that services meet the needs of the organization.
Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and keep abreast of best practices and emerging human resources trends.
Introduce changes to policies and practices that support regulatory compliance and improved business practices.
Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, handbook, and compliance programs.
Manage and provide support to other HR staff.
Collaborate with Growth, Operations, and Client Service teams on HR-related efforts to support day-to-day operations and broader strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
At least five years of Human Resources generalist and recruiting experience, consulting/professional services, or healthcare preferred.
Healthcare or Professional Services company experience preferred.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Skills
Thorough knowledge of Human Resources functions and employment-related laws and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to develop effective Human Resources solutions.
Strong working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now functionality.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to adapt to meet the needs of the organization and employees.
