House-Hasson Hardware, headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, has been a trusted name in the industry for over a century. As a leading wholesale supplier of hardware and building materials, we supply home centers, building supplies, and hardware stores.

Company History
House-Hasson Hardware was founded in 1906 by Sam House and C.S. Hasson, with three more generations of Hassons later joining the company. The most recent Hasson president and CEO was Don Hasson, who passed away in 2021. And we’ve had many other great leaders over the years, including our current president and CEO, Steve Henry, who also serves as the new chairman of the board for Hardlines Distribution Alliance (HDA).
HDA is a hardlines industry trade group with over 65 member distributors, including House-Hasson, and $7 billion in annual purchasing strength.
As America’s largest independent regional hardware distributor, we serve stores in over 19 states, along with the Caribbean. Our four distribution centers (Knoxville, TN, Prichard, WV, Ashley, IN, and West Helena, AR) are filled with almost one million square feet of products! We work with more than 2,500 hardware and lumberyard vendors, with dealer needs always at the forefront of our minds.
Over the years, House-Hasson has bought several distributors, so we can grow and offer more to our dealers. One of those distributors was Persinger Supply. They were bought in 2007, and we used their building to open our second location. The location is our Prichard office in Prichard, West Virginia.
With our long history, we’ve experienced many of our own changes and watched how the world has changed as well. For instance, can you imagine delivering products with a horse and wagon? We started this way. What about all the economic downturns the nation has faced? Our company survived the Great Depression, along with several wars and recessions. And we’re proud to still be here for our customers, so all of us can carry on our legacies and successes!
